I went to the auction today looking for a nice baler but didn't buy one they looked worn out and I didnt know enough about them to pull the trigger on one. the old handcrank tie ones were the nicest ones there and went for 500.00 bucks. My son caused me to spend more money than I really wanted to on a JD 820 but it worked out for the best after I won another guy found me that wanted the tractor badly enough to pay me 1500 more than what I paid for it and then paid me to haul it him and deliver it tomorrow. I bought another track loader and my wife just looked at me she told me shes gonna call the show hoarders on me by the time im 60.

Doesn't she know that a fellow always needs a spare. Congrats of the tractor deal.
 
Lol she's learning or just dealing with it. She knows I make sure they all have what they need. I got on the loader started it up and man that thing purred the owner was there that was selling it while i was on it testing it out he said he only bought it to clear a lot for his house which was 7 acres and he literally finished thursday and had it hauled in friday for the sale today and told me it truly had no issues and gave me his number to call him and tell him if i was satisfied. I got it at a steal probably because most of the guys didn't have a trailer to haul it on.
 
What is you other track loader? we have owned 7 liebherr loaders over the last 10 years, really learned alot about them and how to fix almost anything on them, When the liebherrs and jd's started being the same they went way down hill imo, but before from 1985 to the late 90s they were good rigs, we once owned one of the prototypes for the 611 model, that one was hard to get parts for.
 
Denver the other track loader is a 2011 953d with cab I think you are right about it going downhill. I honestly have no clue how to work on those machines I have a mechanic who does 99% of my repairs I may feel froggy and change a hose or hydraulic line but the new machine ive had no issues really other than controls for the 4n1 kept opening after you close it which was a minor fix that cat came out and took care of and no problems since.
 
We bought a new 953c in 06 but got rid of it in 10 when we had no work, we replaced it with a nice old 943 without the payment of a 200000$ machine. Yes the rear engine jd's are junk imo.
 
Yes those payments hurt, that's why now that we are getting some work we are still going to use our older equipment that doesn't cost as much, and just fix what breaks. What year and model is the new liebherr? If you need a good parts source i can get you one, they are not reel close to you or us but they were the best we ever found.
 
We have a 953 Cat with an enclosed cab. Sure is fun to operate. It will push a tree over like nothing. So far repairs have been minor. Not looking forward to anything big to fix.
 
The good thing about the rear engine cats is they are easy to work on, as far as being able to get to certain parts, the transimission can be taken out in a few hours if you have to.
 
95 632 denver ... Hoss yea I love mine and sometimes just go push crap over cause i can. I also help my cousin who does scrap metal by picking up old peanut combines and cars and trucks with it.
 
The other good thing about that one is it's new enough to have the liebherr engine, rather than the v6 mercedes like the older 631s. do the counter rotating tracks still work, i would not expect them to but that would be good if they did.
 
If they work they didn't work today... lol Motor runs like a dream and has plenty of power only downfall I see is its slow and no cab. I will probably order a car port and keep it under there and on the farm.
