To All:

Two or three hours ago I was looking at page 111 of the Members List.

I clicked on a recent (...as of yesterday, the 9th) member's WWW link and McAfee instantly informed me that a Trojan virus was connected with the web site:



In my ensuing efforts to head it off (McAfee said it couldn't delete it), I don't recall which of the only two WWW links was the one with the [apparently] highjacked web site.

Until somebody gets to the bottom of this DON'T click on any of the WWW links on page 111 of the Members List. I've just wasted a couple hours of my day trying to make sure my computer isn't infected. Bummer, that.

Just realized that the date of membership was the 5th, not the 9th.

Upon further investigation, a right-click on the "WWW" icon for "VioletMan" shows a suspicious web site. There's a fly is this here ointment...

This forum has blind links, until you rollover one of them. I see that the user name "VioletMan" has a profile link. Below is a screen shot (clip) of the profile page, sans the live URL link.




There's a lot to know about how this stuff works. But the virus is more of a bot (robot, or web-bot) than a virus. What it intends to do is put a Viagra ad in your face, more or less constantly. Doesn't matter if you're boy or girl. Greed is a stupid creature.[/url]
