This heifer is the first calf of another heifer, a Musgrave Apache daughter. She has done a mighty job on her calf and bred straight back Two weeks ago this Ashland heifer was 299kg (658 lb) and still has at least another month on her mother. I'll try and get another photo of the 2 together for next months photo comp. Hard to see who the mother is when they stand together.
@wbvs58 really nice looking heifer calf, especially coming from a 1st calf heifer momma, she obviously has grown quickly and will be a contender for next month's photo contest.
