Never used this style feeder before. Want something that can be moved when rotating pastures. Young bull has been dumping mineral out of my hanging barrels. Somebody said to mount these to an old truck tire.

Tom, That's a decent feeder, you might want to do a search for "Bull Master" feeders. they are real low profile, heavy, and hard for a Bull or any Cow to flip over. They have a conveyor belt material flap that's real good for keeping water out.

I like them, easy to move, keeps mineral dry. If you could build your own you could sure save some money.

That's the one. The mineral pan has no dividers like the one you posted. It's a fortiflex type material. Almost indestructible.

Know who sells those around here? How high are they?

The coop should have them. Thats where I got mine from. You do have a farmers coop right?

Southern States dealers are the coops here. Not like TN where there seems to be a coop in every county.

These are like what I use. I don't mount them to anything and never had one dumped. I did tie a rope to the base to make dragging from field to field as I rotate the cattle.

Some use those in this area (except the feeder is yellow with a black flap and has dividers) and the cows have no problem in raising it and eating it. I think you would be satisfied with them.

I've used one for two years now, never had it dumped over. Actually the tire I was going to mount the feeder to is still leaning against the back of the shed.
