Started having pains on Sunday, by noonish yesterday I couldn't take it any longer, let the wife drive me to the hospital which is over an hour away. I wouldn't take my dog to our little local thing they call a hospital. Anyway, I rode the morphine train till they could work me into the OR at 6 this morning. Woke up 45 minutes later to immediate relief, they let me go home at noon. Man, they got this stuff really figured out these day. One incision around belly button, and two three inch ones around belt area on left side, (no where near appendix) go figure. Said I'd be sore for a couple of days, and take it easy for a couple of weeks. Pretty rare for a 50 year old to have appendix trouble, but they got me fixed right up.

I'm glad your wife is more stubborn than you and you gave in and LET her drive you in! Glad to hear you're alright now

We been married 15 years, only the second time I've ridden with her. :lol2:

She's actually a d*mn good driver, I just can't stand to ride with people. Yesterday I couldn't have driven an hour if my life depended on it.

Glad you are ok I've had the same thing happen. I know what ya mean by small county hospitals you wouldn't take a dog to that is what we have. If you want good treatment got to go an hour to Waco. I had to drive myself twice with Gallbladder problems not much fun and probably not very smart.

Glad your ok.

Your right about the laparoscopic surgery I have so many holes looks like I got hit with a load of buckshot.

It is interesting your comment. After I had 12" of colon resected when they went to do my hernia they told me it would not be laparoscopic because of the first surgery.

Yeah I had hernia, gallbladder and appendicitis done laparoscopic.

Pretty d*ng sore this morning, but made it out of bed by 7:30, went and checked on my guys, then went and checked the cows. It's amazing how advanced medical procedures have become.

Glad you are alright. The second day is normally the worst. Doctors nowadays are going to keep us alive longer than we may wish to live.
