No not really. Neighbor has a hilarious sign. I thought it would be fun for the photo contest.
Except it has a political message. These are not allowed in general conversation . But are allowed in signatures and avatars. Instead of placing the burden of judgment on Allison, I felt it appropriate and respectful to run it by administration.
His response was basically it's not his job????????
It was kinda like dealing with a government office.

Signature lines are not held to the same board standards as posts. I wonder to what extent? There are many signature lines with political and religious messages.

The Daily Inspirational is another exception to the general rules. I assume any user can participate regardless of faith. Wouldn't it be interesting if someone of the Islamic Faith were to participate with an inspirational quote from the Koran!!! Yikes!!!.

I stay off the Daily Inspirational for obvious reasons. I think I posted there once in the form of a comment. I enjoy debating the human aspirations for spiritual fulfillment. I joined debatingchistianity.com. It is extremely civil and very in depth. Both atheist, theist and agnostics participate. They have boards for all forms of philosophical persuasions. The rules are extremely strict.

There are many boards that are directed at the existence or nonexistence of immortality. That is not why those subjects are not welcome here. As explained in a post by Macon, it is because it will make others not sharing the same philosophy upset. He further stated that it will not change any minds. I agree with both his points.

You don't know how right you are. When I registered on debatingchristianity.com, I introduced myself as a cattleman. I am their token rural, white, conservative, cattleman atheist. I think they thought I was putting one over on them. Then I told them I was retired from US Civil Service as a former EPA employee. Someone posted that they thanked me for my service. I had to laugh. I was thinking of Grit when the lady thanked me for working for the EPA. :lol:
