If so, how is it working out for you? My purebred red angus bull will be breeding a couple of shorthorn/black angus crosses, and since I am now looking at adding some more cows, I was thinking of going this route.

I know the Shorthorn association is pushing them pretty hot and heavy right now. Sounds like a good cross, although in your case you will probably get some blacks, too.

I've got a few on the ground out of a Lancer son and registered shorthorns. They look good, birthweights were lower than my shorthorns, and if no one else wants them they will go right into my commercial operation. I'm going to make all I can.

I wish I had some more to sell. I got above market price for the ones I had. I need to find some more Red Angus cows now. Mine were not registerd Durhams because the process was not ready yet. Great calves. The demand is high.
