So I have this calf I raised on a bottle I got him from the sale and he came in with a huge Charolais cow but I don’t think it was his mom as she was well fed with no bag and and about 5 years old and he was malnourished but now he is big and beautiful and is 7 months old but I don’t know the breed. I was thinking a Brahman cross but I don’t know

Biggest cow we have is guilty of that . Probably weighs 17-1800 lbs . Grandpa Griffith would call her a coffee cow . Gives enough milk to put in a cup of coffee. She has missed the bus the last 2 years going to the sale barn . If I’m living and able she won’t make another year !

I agree with the other comments by @Hpacres440p and @coachg by the description of the cow and calf, it’s very likely that calf was the big cows own calf.
A lot of times over conditioned heifers will not have much milk and it doesn’t improve with the cows age.
As for breed or breeds of the calf, I’m confident it’s a Charolais cross and guessing maybe Brangus for the other part.

Most of our char/angus crosses in this area have the dark nose, darker hair color in ears.... Being your area it is likely it could have angus or Brangus of some sort.
