I was cruising around craigslist today. Did you guys know that a registered cow will taste better? Papers mean everything.

Need help mowing the back yard and would like to raise your own safe, hormone free, antibiotic free, and steriod free beef at a fraction of the cost of grocery store bought meat? Registered Black Angus is the best tasting beef around. A registered cow insures that your meat has not been crossbred which can compromise the taste. For Sale: A Registered Black Angus cow bred with a Registered Black Angus bull. The registered calf is due in the spring of 2010. She has calved consistently on her own every year with absolutely no problems. She has had all of her fall shots, and has never been sick or injured. She gets along great with horses. She comes to you when you whistle...she is very gentle and loves cookies! Get 2 cows for the price of 1!!!! Must sell fast...need cash!!! Transport can be arranged. 386-749-4449.

It should have read. You can be assured that it is 100% Angus beef not crossbred CAB.
I want to add that I actually like the add. It promotes the breed without fictitious labeling.

I agree that the add is funny in spots. Looks like it was written by someone that keeps cows for pets. Probably wants someone else to buy her for the same reason. I googled up the add.

The old gal needs some groceries or some teeth. With some weight put on her she wouldn't be a bad cow. Depending on her papers, EPD's, and how she is bred, etc. she might not be such a bad investment at $950.
