anyone ever heard of the book...

I have one.

Interesting read as there are a lot of actual case information, but not very scientific or very informative if you already have experience raising livestock.

"Small-Scale Livestock Farming"

Is it anything like "5 acres and independance" or the "Hav-More Plan"?
I do have "Handbook of Farming for Boys and Girls" circa 1937

dun

dun, its pretty much in the same mold as "5 acres and independence"

My most used reference books are circa 1943, 1955 and the other one somewhere in the thirties. And I am sure I am less than half your age. I just figured that what worked back then will still work today. I am not denying the use of modern tools, I just want to learn the true art of observation from yesteryear.

I am sure I ordered mine through amazon, but it was about 5 years ago.

There are better reference books out there, unless you are specifically looking for this one.
