Anyone ever get stuck with a vacation like this?

July is usually my "vacation" month, when I go to fairs with the cattle, which to me is relaxing even working till 10 every night, but this year my vacation has been spent driving the planting tractor re-planting beans, and trying to get the first cutting of hay. I like driving equipment, but 4 long months wears on ya, and still not sure if it will make it, specially if it gets dry a month from now, or a frost comes early like it may.
But it's over now, and in God's hands. At least there's grass, the corn is about to tassel, and the pay is good.





Only 2 months till fall calving, and 4 months till trapping season! :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

Move a little further south, only 4 months on the tractor ain't to much. We run combines for parts of more than 4 months. Heck AC cuts hay from march till November.

At least you don't have to shell corn with it's 30 degrees. :lol2:
Actually now that I think of it I'll take the 30 degree corn shelling weather. :lol2:

I'll have to ask my parents seems like they are always going on one of those things. Well raising 4 wild children, they probably need it now. ;-) :nod:

Vacation here just means not focusing on the breeding route for a day or two at a time and sleeping in until 5am. My first one in about two months is coming this week. It's a huge weight off focusing on just farming and ranching for a couple of days. My time on here is about as close as I get to wasted time.
