I'm in a keepers league.
The Baja THUNDER had a bad season. This past week was the season finally and we finished 3rd
 
We have a feedstore football league.
Twelve of us play, as well as a weekly pickem on the NFL teams.
One that picks the most wins the weekly pot Monday Night game is the tie breaker.
Nuthen finer than football and squirrel season.

We do the same except most of us are employed by the same company
We don't see each other but once or twice a year so it keeps us in touch with everyone
We have a lot of fun harassing each other and it kills time in the hotels at night with nothing else to do

We get together Monday mornings for coffee and BS football and hunting.
My team was tied for 1st place so Sunday's game is for all the marbles.
We have a trophy board in the store and each year the winners name and team goes on it.
Gives old retired men something to do.
Personally I like the draft best get together for a meal.

I hear a lot of folks talking about fantasy football but for some reason I've never even given a thought to playing it. Wouldn't even know where to start learning. The real thing is bad enough.

No different than the Tuesday night poker game quarter ante dollar limit 20 bucks in chips is all you can buy.
Winner has to supply food beverage the next week.
Cheap entertainment. Ours is more of an old man social club to get out of the house and BS
Sometime we get real wild and play 84.
No different than buying squares on a football pot.
