I have a .50 caliber assault rifle, and yes, its a black gun or nearly so. It was state of the art when built and every bell and whistle was put on it to insure its lethality. Its been kept indoors and has been cared for fairly well. What I was wondering is being it is a black gun, an assault rifle as they say .... when will this thing go to killing people? Its sat in a house now for 350 years and to my knowledge it hasn't killed anyone yet. Just wondering.

My guess is someone will probably get hurt trying to confiscate your guns, before that gun kills someone.

My post in the 2nd amendment thread touched on this. Plenty of settlers and Indians were assaulted with just that. As for its past use I think it might surprise you. 350 years is a long time and we have had a lot of dark days in the past. My guess is it has served its purpose in the past possibly contributing to your right to own it today.

If you are standing under where it is hanging on the wall and it falls off it might kill you, or at least "wound" you.

You know Jo, simply reading your post on your assault rifle frighten me and therefore highly offended me! I can clearly see now that the ban on assault rifles should have started about 350 years ago! I'm sorry to say I will be forced to take corrective action towards your ownership of said assault rifle, it's for you own good, we all know gun owners are unaware of how harmful their ownership of firearms are, but also my corrective action is for my own well being and sense of comfort and security. My suggestion to prevent this from become nasty is simply package the assault weapon and ship to me, I assure you I will take the correct procedures to make sure this dangerous weapon is taken care of. Then you can rest and be at ease knowing many of us are now feeling safe again and are able to visit CT in comfort. PM me for my address and please ship any ammunition and documentation on the assault weapon with it.

Thank you, your friend,

Alan :tiphat:

Alan, the thing is the founding fathers shot .69 cal to preform their mass shootings. Maybe the .50 won't sound as scary now that you realize it's not as big as the older guns.

Isn't it Remington moving to Alabama now and bringing 2-3000 jobs because they don't feel welcome up north?

Alan, I would gladly send you this rifle but it scares me so I dare not disturb it else it go on some killing spree. I know it wants to, you can just look at it and see the evil radiating out of it.
