I’m with you there. I don’t think it all begins and ends with a mask, although I will wear one where it’s the norm. I think some people believe if they have on a mask, they are invincible; they can do whatever they want, and they will be safe because they have on a mask. I heard people were in Lowe’s like bees in a hive. I do, however, think it’s a time to use some precaution. I social distance when possible, and wash my hands regularly. I think we should have the economy open as much as possible, but I have no desire to jump in the middle of a large crowd right now just for fun, and I am staying home more, which doesn’t bother me at all. I just don’t understand people with their nose in the air acting like people who are being more cautious than usual have lost their minds. As for mental issues from isolation, I can’t speak to that because it doesn’t affect me or anyone I know. Farmers around here tend to be home more anyway, so that doesn’t bother me, and my kids were happy to be home from school. My son did his NTI on computer. He wasn’t stressed, nor was I. Maybe being in a rural area makes the difference, but I don’t know anyone who was particularly sad about getting out of school early. Our superintendent told me personally that he hadn’t received one complaint from any parent during the entire NTI, which is highly unusual. He said he had received countless calls praising the school system for how they had handled the situation.
