Free advertising these days is rare and I put this together in less than a hour.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Centerbur ... pe=1&__a=4

Thought the little farmers that can't afford advertising could use this instead. Millions and millions of people on there. Good way to educate people about real farmers. Instead of HSUS or PETA. I have over 300 friends on there and when they "like" my page it gets posted on their home page and all their friends see it and so on and so on. Free is a good thing!

Possible, but it is free. I use it as a daily blog, to let customers know what is happening around our ranch.

Well I don't have a web site yet and like BRG said, this is free. Like opening a whole new door to people really. Have enjoyed everyone link so far!

We are on facebook as well as having a web site. I also do a Gizmo Angus blog, the problem having the time. I am finding it very hard to keep everything current. We are always doing something with the cattle so there is plenty to write about just no time to do the actual writing. I would love to do a new blog about Trict testing bulls. I know this is a common practice in the western states but it has not been here in the deep south, but that is changing and people in our area should be aware of Trich and what impact it can have on a cow herd. I also try to post on facebook when we work the cattle just to keep something new. I am way behind on the web site I need to post some new photo's of our new herd bull as well as our current calf crop but just haven't had time to get it done.

The importance thing is to keep the pages updated. Even if you don't have cattle for sale or a sale coming up, doesn't mean that you can't be letting your customers or potential customers what you are doing. Harvest, A.I.ing, taking kids to cattle shows.

A & B Cattle do a really good job with their page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bassett-N ... 222?ref=ts
The American Angus Association also has a page - http://www.facebook.com/americanangusassociation and the National Junior Angus Association - http://www.facebook.com/nattionaljunior ... ion?ref=ts

And like what was mentioned before the best thing is that it's free.
