Any idea what this is...

This plant is growing in one of my pastures. Does anyone know what it is?

I can't tell from the pics for sure but it looks like what we call "spear grass." Don't know if that is even the right term but that's what everyone has called that all of my 52 years. If the seeds out of it start sticking in your clothes when they get dry, you know why we all call it spear grass.

Used to throw the spears at each other when we were kids. Dang things hurt.

I googled and it looks to be the "black" spear gas variety.

Thanks for the replys. I bushogged a bottom that stays wet and this is what grew back. Will cattle eat it or should I spray it.

They'll eat it but you really don't want that stuff. It will get all stuck in their legs and stuck in you too.
