n the hours just before the next sunrise, the Orionids can be seen providing cloud cover is non-existent in your neck of the woods.
Look for the constellation Orion, which should be in the overhead to eastern sky that time of morning. The meteors for this shower appear to originate from Orion--hence the name.

If you step outside before dawn during the next week or so, you might be able to see bright meteors streaking through the sky.

The Orionid meteor shower is peaking now, and it will likely be a very good show this year, weather permitting. The moon will be slimmed down to a narrow crescent before sunrise on Tuesday (Oct. 21) morning during the peak of the shower
