Angus sale catalog

I recently went to an Angus sale and in the catalog it showed the expected calving date of 11-23-06. It also said the hiefer had been placed with a bull through June-July. Why would the calving due date be 11-23-06. What am I missing? By the way I am new here and this is my first posting.

She was probably AI'd which would be where the expected calving date came from. Then to make sure she got bred they would have put her out with a "clean up" bull.

The sale should have offered you an update sheet that would tell if the heifer was safely bred to the AI date or the pasture breeding. Breeding information is often not up to date in the catalog because of time constraints. That update sheet is the most current information.
