SAV Thunderbird heifer calf born 4/1/15 Sold for $3000

Then her Dam a 1st calf heifer confirmed pg to Sitz Lightning due 3/30/16 sold for $3100
She will only be 3yrs 0 m at 2nd calving with her whole life still in front of her.
A nice uddered young registered cow pg with proven ability to put $3000 calves on the ground for only $3100.
Auctions can be crazy things. Somebody should be driving home smiling ear to ear.

I'd say the calf went for pretty big money, but the dam could have gone for more..

If you'd call them a 3 in 1, it would be $6100, which is pretty darned good

Yes, but they are black ;-) In my opinion somebody paid $3000 for a $2700 heifer... which is still plenty.
But her mother, that 2 yr old cow for $3100 was cheap.
I know seeing that calf sell, if I had the cow I'd be breeding her back to Thunderbird again and again or TEN X.

Top money of the day was $7500 for a TEN X daughter pg and due with her 1st calf in May to Baldridge YAHOO.
