Almost kept the testicles...

Cut a young bull today and I thought long and hard about eating them. After the vet pulled them and I heard the cords snap, my stomach just didn't feel right. :frowns: The testicles went right into the manure spreader. I always wanted to try them, maybe someday...

Love a good calf nut fry. Nuts, crappie, morels, and Miller Lite. Nothing finer.

Try the young ones breaded and fried. It's like bite sized chicken tenders.

I always wanted to try them too, until about 5-6 years ago I had 8 Jersey bulls I cut at about 1 year old and my boss told me to save them for him so I had a deep dish 9" by 13" pan with a lid that was full of these quite large nuts I left in my truck at the shop. I ended up taking a work truck home the rest of the week and he forgot about them so when I got back in my truck the smell was something I'll never forget. Worst smell ever.

Bull nuts, cow tongue, pigs feet and any kind of snake are on my list of things to NEVER eat. I just couldn't get past what they are.

The link says it's usually served with beer. I drink a LOT of beer and I don't think I've ever had enough in one sitting to get that down the hatch. You might regret getting your eyes fixed after you see what you're getting served.

They pay $20 a dozen for those things in the market. Heck, I could walk out to the incubator lots cheaper than that. Tried octopus while the tentacle was still wiggling one time. That's some nasty stuff! I'll be sure and report back. :lol:

Had this in China once. Not my idea of a delicacy.
