all the cows stay bunched up...dead calf

mob grazing some smaller pastures and they are all staying close together ..thought flies but they have hardly any..i think they stepped on a 2 day old and killed a little bullcalf. was doing good. momma sucked down..no other reason I can think of. 30 cows/calfs all in a tight bunch....no predators....all alone in the pasture by the house

115 is hard on the newborns.. It takes them a while to learn it's cooler in the shade.. even with plenty of milk they can dehydrate.
