OK - Figure this.
They rent the drill for 8.00 per acre for the first 25 acres.
If it is over 25 it is 4.00 an acre.

I think this field is about 15 - 17 acres.
If i figure I will do a few areas a couple directions due to terrain could be at 20 acres x 8.00 = $160.00.
(They go by the meter on the drill)

So I'm thinking, where else could I do some drilling.
26 x 4.00 = $ 104.00 - ( Doesn't that make sense)

Have a small alfalfa field that is straight alfalfa. It is in good shape. I alway wished I would have put some OG in with it but didn't. Field is 3 years old. Would it hurt to drill some OG in it?
Will it germinate?

Thanks

Check the figures with them. The cost for 26 acres may be:
25 * $8 = $200
1 * $4 = $ 4
===========
26 acres = $204

I can't say how seeding OG will work in your area this time of year.

That what I thought at first.
But they charge a flat 4.00 per acre if used for more than 25 acres.
26 x 4.00 = 104.00

If used for only 25 acres it is 25 x 8.00 = 200.00

Don;t know about in norhten MO, but it's a couple of weeks early to drill OG in this part of the state.

drill the whole thing in two directions. Your sure to get good coverage that way.
