Going to Valparaiso In. to pick up a load of hay this weekend and will stay overnight. The hotels are a little pricy in Valpo, anyone know somewhere within 20-30 miles that might be cheaper? It really needs to be south as that is the direction I'll be coming from.

Stop in at a rest area and pick up one of those travel/motel magazines - you'll get the best price. They usually have details in there as to truck parking, free breakfast, etc. You gotta figure the free breakfast and coffee is worth a few dollars!

AND keep your gun loaded. :lol: I do it too. Put the Beretta .40 between the seat and console with in arms reach. ;-)

Rensselaer has a couple on 65 and 114 south of Valpo. One is called the Trail Tree Inn and the other is a holiday Inn express.
