If you had a chance to start life over as to when and where you were born , would you remain the same or start in a different time?

I think I'm like a lot of people I don't mind the era I live in, I just like to start over only this time change some of the choices I made.

And maybe get in on Microsoft and Google when they were IPO's

All my life I've wished that I'd been born and raised a little further north and west. But I guess God made me when he did and put me where I am for a reason. So I try to make the best of I can and I really can't complain. But boy these woods down here sure are thick.

I'd go for a couple decades earlier.. even a century could have been interesting.

Born 1878... See the industrial era in full swing rather than the tech bubble... I can't deny there are niceties now that would be missed, and medical advancements too.. but I'm a sort of fellow that's allergic to paperwork, and I think there was a lot less of it back then.

I just can't imagine changing.
Not earlier, unless it was a time or place that forbade your parents from organising your marriage and career for you.
And I just can't imagine growing up with internet. That's a real game changer.

The time that I was born in suits me just fine. I got to live both with and without technology. Kinda two worlds colliding. The place I would like to have been born, I'm not sure where that is. Maybe somebody could help me. I don't mind heat, but I hate humidity. I don't mind cold, but I hate snow and mud. I would also want plenty of green grass. Does this place exist? If it does, I would like to come visit.

There are a lot of time periods that would be interesting to visit. I've always thought it would be interesting to experience the 50s, but that only because of movies from or depicting that era, but I'm sure it would be different than i expected.

I wouldn't want to change anything though. I'll stay with the time I'm in.

My area might be up your alley.. We don't get much snow (we had 5" a week ago, it's the first time in 6 years I've plowed the driveway), and the mud doesn't last long around here. As for cold, -10F is about as cold as it'll get for any length of time, most of the winter is around +10 to 30F.. usually with a thaw somewhere in there. As for summers, it can be 90+ from may through september, very little rain, dry as a bone, yes, we have cacti and sagebrush growing here. As for plenty of green grass? well.. as long as you put the water down you'll have it.

I don't think It'd be so great to born then but to travel back in time to the 1200's or 1400's, same place I am now and see what the place looked like then would I think be fantastic beyond description.
