A show question

Why is it there are lots of photos of crossbred heifers that are broken in to lead. Is there lots of shows that allow crossbreds?
Here in Australia you cannot show a crossbred unless it is in a specific steer or heifer show. A solely heifer show must be a pure animal or an animal classified as registered with their respective breed society. With the shows I attend it would be a waste of time to break in a crossbred.

There is an AOB(All Other Breeds) class here that you can show any breed of heifer in.

We have the AOB class, and also a commercial heifer class. So we can show the crossbred heifers.

The county I show in doesn't even have any breed shows. The heifers show by age and the steers show by weight. So it doesn't matter if they are crossbred or not.

are county fair is the same way for heifers they have to be 8-18 months and steers 1000-1400 lbs
