I saw it, too.
I fired off a few shots to scare away whatever was eating the moon. It worked.

Cloudy here, too. We saw a really good one when the boys were little, though. Total eclipse. They are wonderful to see.

I think my angle was a little different than yours--is that possible ?

The stars also sparkled like jewels, and filled the sky.

Hey, great pics. I tried to take some pictures myself but they turned out very poor. What setting did you use? Maybe I can learn how to use my camera.

First off, I was using a tripod. Then I set it to the low light/twilight setting. After that all I did was set the timer (10 secs) so the camera would be perfectly stilll before taking the picture.

It was a good night for it here too. Like you say, the sky was perfectly clear. Lots of stars, which I tried to get pictures of, but had no luck.

I would think our angles could be different, you are a long ways away from here.
