I have heard all my life that beaver was good to eat
well last nite we had a fish fry and the guy trapping on me caught a beaver yesterday and he cut some of it up and we rolled it in flour and thyme and deep fried it
it wasn't bad
it has a entirely different taste than anything I have ever eaten

When I still worked in the mines one of the guys brought in a crockpot full of pulled bbq and said it was beaver. Somebody said his neighbor's tomcat was missing. Whatever it was, it was good!

One of the coonhunters said they used to eat possum when he was a kid. That was until they heard a commotion one night and when his dad shined the light, three possums came crawlin' outta the rearend of a dead horse somebody had drug up in the woods!

Spend a week or two in an Arkansas hunting camp, and you'll find out what everything, that moves on its own, taste like.

I too, am trying to be on my best behavior.
