the houses you can see to the left of the picture is where I live and the river in the horizon is the Thames.

the fields in the next Town along from us.

the Thames Barrier, this is shut when London is threatened with flooding, it was shut yesterday and today.

the barrier in a mist, with a veiw of the Millenium Dome in the background.

the barrier at night.....this is not to far from where I live. In the background is Canary Whalf a small take on New York. With the Dome light up in blue and red.
If London floods we will flood, as we are in the Thames Valley. So fingers crossed it will pass. so far so good.

It's bit daunting at first, but once you are in the basket and take off, it's so tranquill much nicer than a plane, I'm not a very good flyer, but if you want to travel you just have to grit your teeth and go for it..Glad you like the look of my Country. I will go get some Autumn photo's and post, before all the tree's shed.
