Got home from work today and found my favorite show heifer for next year dead in the swamp I call a lot. Looks like she got down in the mud and bloated. Showed her sister last year and did fairly well with her. On the bright side my feed bill will get slightly cheaper.

Sorry for your loss. That's one thing I always worry about this time of year is them getting down in the mud, especially when it's been a really rainy winter like we've had here. They can go so fast once they get down like that. It always seems like it's the ones I like the most or think have the most potential that crap like that happens to.
