I have had my 6.0 chevy 2500HD 4X4 for almost a year now. I have driven it 24,000 miles and while I like the pickup, I am disappointed in the performance of this engine. It is gutless!!!!!
I have been reading that the reason why is because of the way the computer is programmed from the factory and this drive by wire setup (no cable to the throttle it is all electric). Anyway I have researched and talked to other who have switched the computer for one that has been reprogrammed to get the most out of this engine. I ordered a Wait 4 me tune . It was $157.70 and 7.70 shipping. The people that have it says it really wakes these engines up and it does not void the warranty. I hope it works or I am going to trade it for another dodge. Anyone put a tuned PCM on their truck???? :?:

rancher i know just what you need to fix that problem. Take that bowtie steering wheel off and put this one on it. It will boost your ego too when you look down that the wheel ;-)

LOL just kiddin' I ain't got nothin against a chevy. We just don't drive em. Each to his own. :)

I know of someone that did just that ,seems happy with the result.

Ditto.

A buddy of mine did the same thing. He got mad when he drove my chevy (with the 5.3 w/ towing package); he said that he couldn't have me pulling better than him.
