Due to the ever increasing encroachment of goverment upon the people who control the goverment (ironic) i have deemed it ethical to hunt and fish as long as you obey at least 51% of the rules. In times gone by regulations were simple enough now we have more than one could ever keep track of and every year a few more are added. Hence the answer in the 51% rule if you are obeying more than you are breaking i say good enough.

Wear your hide and go seek shoes.

Never paid much attention to all them rules anyway.
The state of Texas says you are allowed 4 deer but they also want to tell you how to hunt it.
If you are allowed four doesn't make much difference if you jump out of a helicopter with a Bowie knife or whatever means tickles your fancy.

In Texas the deer are owned by the state. If you kill one illegally your fined and also have to pay for the deer based on its percieved value. Then they take it away from you.

I've never agreed with laws regarding doe days in Georgia. These laws had absolutely no scientific basis - only political. Therefore I observed two seasons. There was Doe Day and then there was BE PROUD ITS A DOE DAY. Only difference was whether or not you had your tailgate up or down. ;-)

Drop them does and let the bucks walk until they are ready to get on you wall. JMHOBOSD

Tried to get it so the landowners got sell or give tags to hunters who come on their property. Got blasted down by the sportsman groups who didn't like it. It was mainly a letter from the landowner saying they were given permission to hunt on their property.
We both agreed if we could we would give the tags away.
We just follow the common sense rules. Too bad alot of people don't.

Wow the state of texas owns alot of deer. How do they feed all of them? Maybe they use the money from licenses to buy the feed? How many years would you feed the neighbors cow before you ate it? What if your neighbor had lots of cows that lived permanently on your place, would you feel bad about eating one?

Seems like all these state's that claim ownership of wild animals should be paying us rent for our feed as well as paying to have all these vehicles fixed that "their" deer ran into. Just a thought. (Speaking of ownership. Did you see where there is a bill in the house now that will make ALL water property of the US govt - not just navigatable waters.)

ALL water property

So if i had a manmade pond? Or a small stream? What happened to peoples goverment? Seems we are the goverments people they think.

This is a very big deal as you can see yet it hasn't been on the news so I imagine its going to pass. I'm wondering if some of this isn't to help settle some water disputes between states. Nevetheless, it is going to be a Pandora's Box that I hope our representatives will not open.
