I've used a 479 New Holland haybine for 25 years. Last fall I bought a used 488. Today was my first time using it. When on a hillside with the haybine uphill from the tractor the 488 wants to drag sideways behind the tractor. The 479 never did this on the same fields. What could be causing this?

My NH 479 477 will both slide sideways if the grass Is really wet not so much on dry.

I have a 472, and if I'm on steep ground on wet grass it'll go sideways.. perhaps too much downpressure on the skids reduces the tire traction too much... I'd try increasing the floatation a little
