I do not use this tractor a whole lot, it sits for long periods of time.
Ok, after sitting for a couple months, I use the tractor to bush hog, about an hour into work the tractor stahls(?) and dies.
I let it sit for a few minutes and it cranks back up, it then dies again shortly thereafter, this repeats a couple of times. I've been told it could be a fungus in the fuel. My plans are to drain the fuel, change filters, and was told there is a additive that I can use to kill the fungus.
Does any one know the name of this additive? Does anyone have any other suggestions, would be glad to hear them.

if not mistaken there is several different brands that will do as you are looking for. I think staybil is the one we use but don't hold me to it thought I read something about it on there.

I would change the filters an blow out the fuel line to the tank ,before doing anything else.

You need an additive with biocide in it and there is no need to drain the tank. Once plenty of biocide is added the fungus will break down and feed through the lines to be burnt. Google diesel biocide as there a several. Always keep your tank full and moisture free diesel fuel to prevent this.

Sounds like our 6430 and I wish that was the problem with it. Had computer hooked to that thing all day. The algae can cause severe fuel pump problems if left untreated. Been through that too.
