Several years ago I posted a pic of our truck's odometer when it hit 300,000

On june 7th it hit 400,000. It is a 2000 Ford F-250 diesel crew cab. 2/3 of the milage were pulling a trailer.

I didn't think odometers went that high!

I remember the time my old Chevy, 3/4 ton, got (what turned out to be) its last inspection. The guy did a double take and asked if that 329,000 was for real! Yes.....indeed it was.

400,000 and most of it hauling a trailer......that's pretty darned impressive!

My 02 has 153,000 bout wore out. My cousins 95 had 350,000 when he sold it to my son
and he sold it at 450,000 and I still see it running around today. I have often wondered how many miles is on it now
and what they have had to do to it, if anything other than routine.

I should not need another truck if yours has gotten 400,000. Mine is an 02 F250 PSD with 26000 on it.

A man that doesn't drive any more than that don't really need a truck. I will be there in the morning to get it. :lol2:

Jltrent, one of these days I'm going to be able to stay home myself. You are a very lucky person, there's no place like home. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and will be back Tuesday night, I will put 14-16 hundred miles on in the next 2 days. And 500 miles of that will be pulling a 25k load.

I think he is 5 or 6 years younger than me and here I am still working. It should be a law that if you retire that young you should have to come help me work. :p

HeII I had 100,000 on my 02 when I retired in 07.
Thought I didn't drive mine much with 53,000 over the last seven years.
I put 7,500 a year putting to the auction barn and fishing.
Heck put 15,000 a year on the SUV going to the kids and drs and such.

I used to do that but don't have to anymore. I sure am glad too. When the warranty was 12 mo/36k miles I'd be out of warranty in 7 months on a new one.

Chippie my question is what maintainence have you had to perform to get this mileage.
I know I had to put in a water pump at 120,000 and replace the plastic radiator.
