2nd frost of winter already and not even Thanksgiving yet

For the second time this month, I woke up to frost on the grass and outside furniture. Not killer frosts, but the grass has felt their effects.
Kinda unusual this early here in E. Texas-50 miles N of Houston.
Might be a very interesting winter--even down here.

NOAA sez--well, looks like they don't have a clue--'equal chances'. So much for settled science.

we been about average here, but that dont mean nothing.. we had a late frost year before last and a cold snowy winter..

I didn't say it froze,but now I know whose tracks those were in my back yard and ya didn't tie the gate back good.

We've had some frosts. Grass quit. Not sure if the frost got it or it just plain turned dry.

I am way past ready for that almanac promised rain to get here. Wheat needs a drink. Bad.

Yep We have had frosts about everyday this past weekend and thru this week. Just some of the fescue left for the cattle to nibble on. Daily hay feeding is here now.
