Alabama,

I see you have a few Upward bulls in your consignment, what is your opinion of them? other than phenotype, what about hair, frame and disposition?? I hear the bull himself is pretty big..

I like those Upward calves a lot. They came easy and hit the ground growing. They are not as big as yearlings as the 3J15 calf in with them, but I like the size. I guess they are in between a 6 and 7 frame.
They are very gentle but then I have gentle cows.
The hair is normal for Angus in Alabama winter. We can tell more this summer when they shed out. I can say that they have a nice slick coat that does not look shaggy.
Stop by Montgomery In February and take a look at them. Or come by the house before then and I will show you around.

Thanks Alabama, same goes it is always nice to see you and you always bring good ones one thing is for sure the buyers that come to this sale are going to get a good set of bulls to select from. Michelle does a great job and I think the consigners bring good ones. Like I said on another thread I am looking forward to seeing your upward sons. Did you get a bunch of that rain on Tuesday we were floating around here but at least today the sun is out and its drying a bit and the tempatures are really nice.
