Here are some pics of my 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. It is a Texas Edition with the 5.3L V8, Locking rear diff, trailering package, high performance suspension, with 20" wheels and the new easy lift tailgate ;-)

It's sitting next to my dad's 2002 half ton for comparison.

Very nice truck, Angus! Took my 03 into the dealership for routine service and had dreams for weeks about one in the showroom just like yours except it was a pretty brown with a dark tan interior. Sure put my willpower to the test. I finally got over it though! My 03's paid for and I've made a vow never to have car payments again.

Nice truck, thats pretty sweet how those suicide doors open all the way back to the bed

you know what would be even sweeter? One of your kids bailing outta the damn thing and slammin it off the bed!

B-E-A-UTIFUL!

maybe they have a stopper in place or s/thing?

There is a stop to keep the doors from hitting the bed. It leaves a couple inches between the door and the bed. Plus I don't have any kids to worry about doing that. ;-)

Any idea what the price diff would be to go 3/4 ton?

Nice vehicle - hope you can keep the interior clean.

Where is the 4WD control?

It's not 4wd. I don't really need it where I'm at and if I do I just use a tractor.

The interior is darker than the pictures make it out to be. I wanted the solid black interior but they couldn't find me one outfitted the way I wanted it.

Locking rear diff

Had a 1972 Dodge D100 with some kinda posi locking diff. Never thought about 4X4 after that. I swear I coulda put a blade on and plowed snow. ( It had a 360, no pollution crap, would leave 2 straight lines of rubber up into 3rd gear ).
Blew away my friends 67 ralleye sport twice , so after that the guys called the old D100 the "camaro killer".

I had a 1996 Dodge Ram Laramie Club Cab. It had a 360 bored 40 over and chipped w/ dual exhaust and full time posi. It would sit there and smoke 'em. In 4wheel drive it would go anywhere I ever wanted. Best " newer " truck I've had. I sold it w/ 192,000 miles on it last year to an old man who still drives it.

It did hop a little bit on pavement when making sharp turns b/c that posi and 33's. Oh well still got 14mpg. old man says he gets 16
