2005 was the worst drought ever here locally, since records have been kept.

2007 so far has a really good chance of breaking records for being the wettest year.

2005 was blamed on global warming. 2007 is now also being blamed on global warming. What is going to happen when we have a normal year?

what anywhere is considered a normal year? according to the weather dudes, we never have a normal year. so where in the heck do they get the definition of normal?

I think they consider the average as being a normal year.
To me if we got 2 years that were the same it would be abnormal

2005 was our year for the worst flood in 100 years. People talked that it was because of Global Warming for the 2005 flood. So my question was "Was it Global Warming 100 years ago too?"

Global Warming gets all the attention nowadays. doesnt anyone care about El Nino~ and La Nina~ anymore???

Well, i have never seen a dryer year than this one in May. i have dry waterholes that have never ever been completely dry before.

In '05, I actually saw cactus dry up and die. In the wild fires, cedar trees would literally flash as if they were covered in gasoline. 45 mph winds were terrifying in those dry conditions.

I hope ya'll get some rain Beefy. I know ya'll use a lot of wooden posts in that area.

All I know is I am loving the rain. I thought I had forgotten what it felt like. I hope it keeps it up through the summer. I haven't seen the real heavy rains like they had around Denton, just nice showers every two or three days. Good stuff.
