Hey I sure am glad I found you all I have a background in Ag working mostly hogs and chickens but I am pretty new to cattle. I started out last year working as a weekend milker at a local dairy here in Kansas and have since with some good luck found myself becoming the herdsman. I am hoping to start raising some beef on the side come next spring maybe start with some bottle calves since I get milk from the dairy and can trade labor for calf starter. Definitely open to suggestions for other ways to get my foot in the door with owning my own herd. Anyway I look forward to learning and expanding my knowledge on both the dairy and beef side.
