i've got an 18 mt. old heifer char/angus cross...she is fat, never been on anything but good grass..weighs about 1100 lbs., would i notice a taste difference if i butchered her now vs. feeding 60 days?

There will be a little different taste. But some people prefer grass fattened and some prefer grain fattened.

I would butcher her now. That grass fed beef steak is going to taste even better with that great glass of wine you bought from all the money you saved not feeding her out.

Corn fed tastes greasy and bland after eating good grass fed.

I prefer venison  to corn fed.
Now Steve don't forget to tell the poster than you guys also like the taste of Lutefish. :lol2: :lol2:

At 18 mos of age she is plenty old enough to butcher now. next time feed grain the last 3 months & taste the difference for ourself. You will want to grain feed some from then on.

Nothing I suppose if that's all you have to eat.
