14% Feed

Bought 16% feed here today for $190 a ton. I can make some fat calves at that price.

I'm easily getting 2.75 pounds per day of gain on Agra Afc's blended feed called CPC. My last load cost 185.00 a ton delivered at my farm. It is a 14% feed . I can definitely see some rice bran and distillers grains in it.

The previous owner of our place once had hay tested at 24%.. it was the highest test the facility had ever seen at the time (it was in the 1980's sometime)

It's TTU Bull feed. I went and picked some this weekend. 1200 lbs for $124 in 4, 55 gal plastic drums. Great deal.

Kt where do you buy your feed at, if you dont mind me asking?

Clear Creek Milling, a local place that delivers it into my feed bin. They get trailer loads of grain, soy hulls pellets, gluten, ect. and mix the feed themselves. They do deliver into NC sometimes if the load is large enough.

Thanks for the info kt, thats a heck of a price on some feed. If i was setup for large loads id have to look into them.
