12V Diaphragm pump question

I just want to make sure I'm thinking this through correctly. I hooked up the atv 12v sprayer yesterday evening to do some work around the yard. It worked fine at first but stopped pumping any liquid; the pump was running but no liquid was being taken up by the pump. I checked the strainer and supply line; everything was clear. I'm thinking the issue is with the check valve. Does that sound right? I don't want to start tearing into the pump on a wild goose chase.

More than likely the diaphragm itself has a tiny tear or crack..most likely near one of the little valves that move under the diaphragm. That little crack won't let it prime. If its shurflo or flomaster or the type, there are rebuild kits for them.

hook probably has it right. One time a buudy had one that wouldn't work and the set screw was loose on the motor coupler, you might check that too.
