11 to the sale

Sent 11 to the sale barn at Arab Al for the sale tomorrow. Weaned 19 and kept 8 heifers . Had only kept 2 out of the Raindance son I got from Gizmom , Mrs Gilmore . So decided to keep the best 8 . We normally keep 10-12 replacement heifers every year . Looking to keep up to 20 this year . May just winter them and sell next spring depending on what this market does . We have a stockpile of grass and lots of hay .

My friend at the sale barn usually sends me a pic of the checks. He normally works the scales but someone was sick today and he had to run the back ; penning after they came out of the ring .

Calves did good . A little better than the ones last week . It was so hot last week I worried about how that bunch looked . These calves should have been fresher looking with the cooler temps and they had been eating good since I weaned them last week .

No. I had 2 people that wanted to come see a house I am going to sell. Neither one showed up
