I have a diesel mechanic on payroll so we will maybe do it ourselves. His friend he went to school with works at the cat dealer I buy parts from as a mechanic so I may pay him to do it on the side. He is trying to find a used unit for me first said basically that final drive could cost a ton of $$ i only paid lil over 4k for it and its lasted for years so if i scraped it I could get my $$ back. I think I found a used unit im waiting for a call to confirm.

When you get that one done, come do it on our Allis HD6.
Is that bearing that's pictured blown? or are teeth damaged on the gears? The allis blew out the bearings but the gears are still fine

I just hunted one today... a SSS kinda deal.. was demolishing stuff around here and getting too close.. I'm sure there's some left for you... I saw the fawn in my hayfield when I was cutting oat/barley hay on monday
