Rain every day this week...temps in the 30s and 40s....mud azz deep to a tall Indian....I am ready for some winter.

Can't beat these temps. Good on the fall calves, getting by with some lesser quality hay to start and easy on the wood pile. Hope it lasts.

Sure enuf woke up to winter here today. 6in of fresh snow and still coming down! :clap:

We really needed the moisture and the local Ski Area was skiing on rocks a week ago so it's a blessing for everyone.

81 here today but not enough daylight to keep the bahai growing. Too warm for the ryegass to do any good. And too dern dry.

If you guys want your winter back I'd be happy to let you have it. We're getting into the low twenties just about every night. I know that doesn't sound that bad but when you're surrounded by citrus trees, that cooold. I know a guy who forgot to start his sprinklers on ten acres of new trees and lost the whole planting in one night.
I'm probably looking at around ten acres of destroyed fruit but I won't know until it gets picked.
We could use some rain though. We're starting to think we may follow in Texas's footsteps this year.

CP, oranges? Daughter and ex-wife are headed to LA tomorrow. Low 20's is way cold out there, but it's a dry cold. :?

an hour until winter we are in deep mid winter, it is quite mild for this time of the year and we had a lot of sunshine today not hot sun but at least we saw some.
