Use an Angus with a different bloodline, that will continue the growth and quality factors.cowchaser":higbl1u4 said:Raising Sim Ang x cattle. This year have some 1/4 Sim 3/4 heifers to breed. Like to know if anyone has suggestion for new blood. Live in CO so probably cattle with some "ear" won't work. Thanks
That would work too. A good Polled Hereford would be a good cross on them too.Jovid":1j20kghg said:How about putting a Red Poll bull on them.

I've got some 1/2 Simm, 1/2 Angus cows out there that I bred as heifers to an easy calving Shorthorn bull and I was VERY happy with the results. A Red Poll would definitely be my second choice.
