Have seen this twice in the last couple of weeks . Young herd bull will run his girls away from the fence close to the neighbors bull . There are actually 2 fences . The one on the property line and the one that forms the lane headed to our catch lot . The gate is open to the lane but he stays with 2 fences between him and the neighbors bull . I've seen that behavior in bull elk but never in an angus bull . He will run at them and chase them back out in the pasture. Looks all proud of himself after . 🤠

They be had 3 bulls like that over the years. A father and son, that both did. Our current Angus bull pretty much keeps the herd away from the fence by another bull too. He seems to position himself between his herd and the neighbors bull.
I actually did not pull my bull out this spring because I figured he was the only thing standing between our neighbors bull which is in a field with only one cow that is wilder than any deer I’ve ever seen.
In fact your more likely to see a deer than that cow. The bull is bound to be just as crazy wild but seems aggressive as he cannot be ran away from the fence.
Really worried that when not if he gets over in our field it’s going to be a nightmare getting him out. Would definitely have to get some professional cattle catchers to handle that bull.

I think its a good thing to see. I like to see that.

Has to be a sign of a prolific breeder.

I sold a bull a while back and put a video in the ad showing the bull doing exactly what you describe. I think it helped with the sale.

Haven’t seen him breed a single cow yet but have seen him with several. I hope he’s doing his job ! I laughed at him the other day . 3-4 bull calves were hounding a cow . In stead of butting them out of the way he was butting her and pushing her away from them !
