It sounds like it could be subacute white muscle disease. Could be as simple as a selenium deficiency, when i was living in Ohio we had major problems with.

I'd stay out of the flint hills if you don't like winter, it gets pretty bad. I remember heading back to Ohio two years ago and running around in a T shirt outside when it was in the upper 20's because it was so warm in comparison.

The best beef i ever had/raised was Jersey cross. The ones that got graded (all but the one I ate) all graded Prime. You just have to let them get big enough, the worse thing about Jerseys is people selling them to small and unfinished.

Ewww, thats gross. :lol: So how many cows can a magnet last through?

I've been wondering lately what happens to the magnets when a cow is slaughtered. Are they just discarded with the guts or does somebody remove them? If they are removed would there be a market for them, or would anyone even know that they were used? :lol: My random question for the week.

One of my local ones shut down about 9 months ago. But I guess people are still buying/selling up there. Just no actual auction.
