Sounds to me like your looking for something to worry about. With that said, I give a 7 way w/blackleg, injectable worker and a poor on spring and fall so I don't have to worry hopefully. But stuff still happens, it's just good insurance
You have done a fantastic job, not JUST keeping her alive, but getting her as healthy as possible. Won't be long before you are one of the experienced members on these boards giving valuable information to other beginners. Again , great job Liz.
I've been following this since it began, so yep we're out here. You have done a great job bringing Mira along. Keep us posted and keep up the good work
Was checking the cows last Friday when I walked by #22 cow and had to do a double take. The right front teat was bent at an almost 90° angle. I know I've never seen something like that. Have You? :lol2:
I had a cow that came up limp. Loaded her up and took her to the vet. He found an abcessin the bottom of the hoof. He trimmed her hoof. That's been 3 years ago and she's been fine since. She did continue to limp for about 2 weeks afterwards until it heeled up.
Liz, you are saying your feeding her 2 pints twice a day and Jeanne is saying 2 QUARTS a day. Do you mean QUARTS or pints. 2 pints 3 times a day is only 3 quarts.
Yes, you have to go to a vet to get draxxin. If I were you I would load her up and take her to the vet's office. It will be relatively cheap. Good luck
I hope not, I've got 3 of these. Had them for 2 years now. Most people around my neck o woods use something similar. The 16' one where the main herd is 10+ years old.
I started doing the same thing last year. Bought a 1 1/2 gallon pump up sprayer and some Ivermectin pour on. Put out cubes in a large circle and go around spraying them.
