2 month old calf drooling bubbles

Healthy Calves generally are super slobbery. It's generally when they're Dehydrated that their mouth isn't slobbery. Just personal experience 70 bottle calves a year plus or minus that number depending on the year.

Last night we had bad smoke around us, from the national forest burns they're doing, so bad you couldn't see very far,. And this morning the calf was struggling to breathe, she was fine last night, before the smoke settled in and stayed. This morning An hour after I originally checked on her...

Update on the calf I put on coach's thread

Calf only has a tiny White spot on her left eye, instead of the whole eye being white like it was. She drinks 3 pints Morning and Night and a Quart mid day. I tried bumping her to a full bottle and she went off her feed. She's doing well, just not gaining much weight, she's now on full fat raw...

Bottle calf! Some say I'm crazy...

The worst one I had the front hooves were almost backwards twisted inwards. I don't remember how long until she could stand on her own. I know by 3 months of age her legs were straight, she was a pistol I could walk anywhere with her, and she wouldn't leave me.

Bottle calf! Some say I'm crazy...

Those nuckled under front legs are Super common in big calves, I've had a Lot of calves like that, put them over a square bale while you feed, so you don't have to hold them up and feed them at the same time. A shot of Bo-SE may help. I generally give it, if I don't know their history. I've...

The guy who feeds the cow's and I took her around to several cow's and not one of them would take her. She wasn't cleaned off. Her fur was all full of the afterbirth and all dried in and nasty. So I think her mom just left her behind, the guy who owns the cow's has a Lot of First time heifers...

    Bottle feeding : how much

Not trying to hijack your thread, but I'm feeding a calf right now that won't drink more than a quart of milk 3 times a day, she's black Angus and weighs about 30 pounds. She was almost dead when we found her, don't know who her mom is, I suspect she is a twin. At first she would only drink...
